Bob fell out of the tree. Bob landed on top of a gum nut and Bob was in pain.

Bob writhed in pain on the ground. Bob realized his limbs were numb and Bob could not get up. Bob screamed and shouted for help but nobody heard him. Suddenly, below Bob, the ground collapsed.

But Bob survived by falling into a strange goo. Everything was dark underground but the goo was kind of glowy so Bob put some goo on his hands and started walking. Suddenly a strange noise was heard

he realized that the sound was a chirp from a bird above. He rubbed his eyes, removing the black goo from his eyelids until he could open them. And when he did, he realized that he was in a country he wasn’t familiar with. The hills shot up like knives and the air was crisp.

“Aww man,” he said. “I’m stuck in a Radiohead album cover. Again. Second time this week.” He couldn't see the title from this angle, so he didn't know which album it was. It didn't matter. He walked around gingerly, making sure not to fall through the massive holes in the ground.

Everyone was in shock. They couldn't even gather up their minds after what they have just witnessed

It was a very unusual sight to have witnessed but they couldn’t stop looking. The horror which was unfolding was making them unable to move from their spots. It was like they were in a trans. ‘It’s too late.’ She thought as she couldn’t move herself from that very spot.

The sludge moved with a life of its own and eyes stared back at them. It screeched like a bird without a tweet or chirp left in it. The aura that left the sludge was one of dread and fear. Panic reigned true as the sludge took a form.

The sludge formed up into the shape of movie star Vin Diesel, but half size and very gooey. Mini-Vin flexed, smiled, and opened his gooey mouth-hole as if to speak. The sound that issued forth was

A guttural, wet fart that became almost a squeak at the end. Followed by an intense fountain of diarrhea. His diarrhea became a thousand mini vins who flexed, smiled and stood on eachothers shoulders to create a full sized vin. An angry full sized vin who had in his hands

a clean, spotless jack-in-the-box with a wry, crooked simper quacked angrily at her. Suddenly, the jack-in-the-box grew in size in an alarming rate until it crowded the space they were in, shocking both her and the full-sized vin.

She was dumbfounded; well, dumbfounded but still in charge of her bodily movement. She ran and ran but it chased her relentlessly. Again and again, she outran it, only for it to quickly catch up to her. This went on and on… and it still goes on in her mind. Because she remembers…

After a few months, Crisp's cubs became healthier. However, the house we were staying in was getting crowded. "We need to find a new place," I told the woman. 

She shook her head. "It's too dangerous. The witch may be dead, but the hunters could still be out there."

And it was true, the hunters were on the hunt. They found out about the witch’s death and were furious. But Crisp and the cubs needed a new home, a place where they could be free and happy. “Ok l, we need a plan” I told the woman, “we need to gather materials first, let go to

the enchanted forest." I say. She spun to me and crossed her arms. "Because that's the safest place to bring a mother bear and her cubs? Yes, the enchanted forest." She says in a mocking tone. Despite being rude, we began our journey there, every now and then I'd get her to smile

the sweetest smiles, reminding me of how she believed in the truth of my heart when she first recruited me. Now, I needed her to trust in me again. "The enchanted forest's entities will protect Crisp and her cubs. We need to believe in its magic," I told her.

She nods in nervous agreement. And as we say our farewells to the friends we leave behind, a silent rain starts to fall. After hours of walking, thoughts still dwelling on the past, three glowing eyes glare at me from the shadows of the forest. Suddenly I recognize,

my sister in one of those pairs of eyes. Clarissa! That can’t be you! Who’s playing tricks on me? I thought you were all my friends. The enchantment was starting to wear off. I was soaking wet and miles from my friends. I yearned to go home and get what was promised to me.

Yearning, yes, but learning. Learning about it far, far too late. All around started to go black, and I was lonely… just lonely, seeking companionship. These people weren't my friends… not anymore. Sigh. Just one more kiss… and I would not have melted. But it was ok. I was happy.

The scene was as heartrending as expected. Baby bears, malnourished still managing to crowd their cage. "Too late!" cried the decrepit witch, releasing the cord. An arrow flew, pinning the cage to the wall as it dropped. I felled the witch with buckshot. A happy ending after all.

"How do I return to life?" I asked the angel. "There is no way," the angel told me, "you should just live your life in happy bliss as you are expected to." Suddenly, I saw Geovani, prince of the Ta-Ta Tartar Sauce empire, walk towards me. "They have endless tartar sauce here!"

Well, that changed everything. "Endless tar-tar sauce?" Immediately I baked up some fish sticks & fries to dunk. After gorging myself at the Tar-Tar River for three days, I began to wonder if the sauce was truly endless. Thus began my journey to find the Source of the Sauce.

I climbed mountains, crossed fields of poisonous corn, and swam through rivers of stuff that was definitely not tartar sauce on my search for the Source of the Sauce. But I knew each step was worth it, for I was getting closer to knowing if I truly had endless tartar sauce.

I knew there were two enemies prowling behind me: ketchup and mustard. They were large, round brutes, but with the right force, they’d shatter like glass, and I relished the challenge.

I kneeled down, faking my back was hurting. Then I lay down in the floor with my tongue out. Checking the floor temperature. Waited for a moment enjoying the moment. Then I started screaming very loud something about ducks. Mustard and Ketchup were clueless.

Then it began: my skin, too tight, began to crack and peel away. I had grown too large for it. Soon I would shed it, and appear in my fully adult form, scales shiny and beautiful.

I couldn't wait. Soon the big day arrived… but when my skin peeled away I was met with fur instead of scales. FUR. I was so depressed that I listened to Disintegration over 27 times in a row. It would've been more but my tape wore out and broke. I’ve yet to replace it. Fur. Sigh.

Next thing I knew, I was up in the clouds, in a daze. An angel greeted me. "Welcome to the Afterlife Hotel Resort, where you can live out the rest of your days in a state of Nirvana and bliss!" Wow, that sounded nice. But I didn't like that I was dead. How do I return to life?

It was very hot so I opened the window. Seconds later a plague of bees came into my room. There were so many of them and they were so strong that they blocked the door and I couldn't escape. They were fast, slowly they turned my room into a beehive.

In a panic, I dove into the bed and covered myself with the blanket to shield myself from the onslaught of bees in the room. The unbearable buzzing continued, getting louder, and louder, and louder...

Until it suddenly just... Stopped. Peaking out from under my bed covers I see a jungle?! What the hell, I think before jumping from my bed onto the red...

Two popsicle sticks stuck in the dirt. I crouched down to read the paper. In careful print it read “HERE LIES SQUIRMY, A FINE WORM AND A FINE COMPANION. YOU ARE MISSED.” I poured a drop of seltzer on the ground for Squirmy.

"NO!" I screamed, my fingernails digging deep into my clenched fists. "GET AWAY! GET AWAY FROM HIM!"
The man stepped back, startled. "He doesn't belong here, kid."
"HE BELONGS WITH ME!" 
With that, I stormed out of the room, Oreo tagging close behind me.

Unfortunately, it was raining outside. I shivered, regretting that I’d left without a jacket. Thankfully there was an empty bus stop a few feet away. I sat on the bench, Oreo putting his head in my lap. As I reached down to pet him, I noticed he had a key in his mouth.

The key was gold and shiny, though it was useless if I didn't know where it led. Suddenly, Oreo slipped off my lap and started running circles around the sheltered ground of the bus stop - he was bringing my attention to an abandoned umbrella. When I picked it up, Oreo ran off.

I chased after him, irritated but also curious. When I finally caught up to Oreo he was pawing at the cellar door of a dilapidated old house. The shiny padlock on the door matched the shiny key. I unlocked it and started down, brandishing the umbrella in front of me like a sword.

Past the creaky staircase there was a door hanging on rusty hinges. It squealed as I pushed it open. I found myself in the Rumpus Room that Time Forgot. Then I saw it: the Golden Atari, with the Yars Revenge cartridge already in place. Sweeet!

Susana didn't know where she was, she could only see twisted and soft columns as if they were... Hair? Suddenly, a finger appeared as if it was a storm and it hit her head. Susana looked at her hands; it was a louse!

Susana flung her hands about frantically, but the louse stayed stuck to her hand. It wouldn't budge no matter how she scratched or poked it - this was no normal louse. To her dismay, there were no clinics to be seen among the strange hair-like pillars in this unknown place.

Susana had no hope. The louse would forever live on her head and she would forever have a louse. Susana laughed abruptly, “A lousy louse,” she said to no one in particular. Sometimes we have to live with the inhabitants of our own inflictions. Susana was living a life lesson.

"I suppose if I have to live with this louse on my head, I might as well name it something." Susanna ponders for a moment and lacking inspiration declares, "I know! I'll name you Louise. Louis the Louse. So Louis, what should we do now?"

“Excuse me, the name is Lulu!”, said the louse. “And I plan to chomp on your scalp and lay some eggs. What else would I do, write an opera? Yeesh!”

The first thing I saw when I woke up were towering skyscrapers atop futuristic buildings. I was confused as could be - who am I? Where is this? It turns out I had no previous memory, not even of my name. Then I noticed the gigantic billboard in front of me - 'follow the path'.

"The path" what could that be I mused. Must be an ad for some worthless product.
I asked around for directions to the nearest hospital and made my way towards it.

I walked as steadily as I could, following directions I’d received from a strange old woman with a subtle smile. Though I followed her words carefully, I saw no evidence of a hospital—just the beginning of a winding path, dotted with pale golden trees.

I kept walking for a while, then weeks, then months, until I realized: I'm cured. There were no hospital, the hospital was inside me all along. And, I don't know why but, that woman knew it for the very first moment. I must be a doctor.

That’s right baby, you can call me Doctor Feelgood! I can cure what ails you! My office hours are 8pm to 2am, and I always have time for you. Now take two of these little pills and do not call me in the morning, because I sleep until noon.

Path To A Healthy Mind

Brayden looked down at the 'thing'. It was dotted with holes, gave off a stink, and there was yellow liquid spreading from underneath it. Even for 50 cents, Brayden wouldn't dare touch it. Then, suddenly, Freya walked up to him. 
"Yeah, I like cheese too. It looks delicious, eh?"

"Cheese is overrated..." Brayden mumbled, cringing at the rotting holed abomination in front of him. He didn't like its shade of yellow. Suddenly, Freya grasped his arm and stared straight into his eyes. "Sorry, say that again?" Her face was plastered with a chilling wide smile.

The slice smacks on the floor releasing its putrid stench. "It's just that does it really have to be this?" Brayden explains. "I know, I know. Certain doom awaits and all but really cheese? Why is it chosen of all things to be so holy?" Freya glowers at him. "You must eat it."

Brayden inches away from the cheese. "I don't think I will," he says. Freya glares at him again and pushes him, despite his protesting, back towards the cheese. "Just eat it Brayden," she says. Brayden sighs and, trying to ignore the musty smell, reaches towards the slice.

The cheese was so foul, so rank, so putrid, that Brayden lost all sense of taste. His tongue refused to work. Now he only smells food, writing for his blog called "Brayden's Bouquets" which was turned into a hit film starring Will Poulter as Brayden & Saoirse Ronan as The Cheese.

I watched the sky as masses of crows circled around me in the sky.As quickly as it started, it stopped. I looked around to see if anyone had seen it. The same old forest and the same old dirt path. I sighed. No one here. I continued down the path, unbeknownst to what was upon me.

What seemed like a few minutes had been a couple hours as the skies grew dark and the silence became louder I was about to trek back to the house as my stomach rumbled from hunger but the path that was once there had disappeared I felt lost once again,this time I was truly alone.

I stood there, unmoving, contemplating my dire situation for what seemed like hours. As the silence started ringing in my ear, my loneliness got the better of me - I even wished for the crows to return. I curled into a ball and sat in place, waiting, and rain started to fall.

I awoke to the sound of sirens blaring, using my hands to muffle the pain. I inched my eyes open, as if afraid the sound would pierce through.

Had I overslept? Usually I didn’t, but this crow problem was doing a number on my sleep schedule. I stumbled out of the room and into the hallway. Two children were also in the hall, shaking. I stepped towards them, but drew back when I saw the black feathers on their arms.

What did they symbolize? The crow sounded its alarm and the children turned around and reached their hand out towards me. I took a few steps back out of fear and held my breath. I instantly felt my heart sink as their mouths formed into the beak of a crow and

They all let out a mighty synchronized KAAAW! I stumbled backwards as they hopped and shrieked. Then they started repeating “SHINIES! SHINIES!” After I moment I offered them my stainless steel watch. Then I handed them every coin in my pockets. Then I was free to go.

Jerry glanced down at the photograph in his hand, then back up again at the woman sitting alone at the back of the cafe.

She was it - the woman his client requested him to find. With his confirmation, Jerry stowed away the photograph and continued observing her.

All at once a blinding light coursed through the space. Jerry and the woman froze. And then a creature appeared, seemingly from the air itself.

Jerry had been warned of this - during his observation mission, a terrifying creature could spawn out of nowhere to stop him. Fearing for his life, Jerry ran out of the cafe without looking back...but not before slipping a GPS tracker onto the woman's clothes. Mission success.
