Antarctica. That’s where I’ll find love?

"Yes," said the fortune teller, thin fingers waving over a crystal ball. "I see parkas, penguins, & passion in your future." I'd paid her $20, so I had no choice but to believe her. I bought a ticket for an Antarctic cruise & wondered which of my co-passengers would be "the one".

Then in the middle of the cruise I saw him. The most gorgeous creature I’d ever laid eyes on. Dapper, cute, good swimmer, charming. There was just one thing: the love of my life was an Emperor penguin.

And I’m a Shark. How can a Hungry Shark and a beautiful emperor penguin can ever be a couple?
Maybe if I go with the Arthur Witch, I’ll be able to fulfill my wish. 
The problem is that the witch won’t give anything for free.

swam in clutching my locket in the icy waters. “This is the object of my affections,” I said to the sea witch. She darted toward me and opened the locket with her spindly fingers. “This cannot be!” she gasped. “Sharks and narwhals must not mix!” “But I came all this way,” I said.

“Wait! Did you say narwhals?” I exclaimed with relief. “I’m a shark in love with a penguin! Not a narwhal.” The sea witch looked at the locket again. “You definitely need a clearer picture. Anyway, I suppose a penguin might be ok.” I asked, “So, you can make a love spell for us?”

“I can’t guarantee results, Shark. I only had a one night stand with a penguin, and love was the last thing on our minds….” said the sea witch. “Here you go. I always keep one in my purse for emergencies. Once you drink it—,” she continued, handing me a vial of pink liquid.

I took a look at the pink liquid as the sea witch's words haunted my mind. I handed her a few clams and was on my way. Yes, I would see her again tonight and yes she would drink it, and I was right. She did with vigor. Margaret Howe was her name... how could I ever forget?

When I saw her at the ball, she wore a lovely black gown that seemed to come from the stars. It was easy to add the brew to her drink when she wasn't looking, but I knew that by doing so, I made a fateful choice for both of us. To this day, I still wonder if our love is real.

Oskar just decided to stay on his friend’s house without asking him. He took his laptop, power on the TV and started writing. 
Suddenly he heard a big noise on the attic. He quickly went to take a look and he could heard the laughter of a baby.…

Peering around old suitcases, Oskar spied a baby sitting in a box, playing with his old stuffed animals. She was dressed in a onesie with a pattern of watermelons. Her hair was the color of corn silk; her laugh rolled like a running stream. "Where did you come from?" Oskar asked.

“I come from a long line of charmers,” said the tiny baby with perfect pronunciation and diction. Then she went back to playing with the old stuffed tiger again.

I snatched that stuffed tiger from her hands. Baby or not, she had some explaining to do. “What do you mean, charmers?” I demanded. Waving the tiger around I asked, “Are you going to help me or not?” The baby looked at me with her blue eyes and said, “If you do me a favor first.”

"Favor?" I scoffed, thinking that this whole thing was simply absurd. "You're a baby. Look at you!" I gestured at her nappies. She folded her arms, raising her eyebrows, as if daring me to continue, to which, in response, I did. but what kind of baby could raise her eyebrows?

This cranky baby was one of a kind. The favor as it turns out involved a small pony and some sliced cheese. Seemed simple enough and I had no plans that afternoon.

All I had to do was use the cheese to lure Charles' prized pony to my apartment without him knowing.

The pony walked into my apartment, sniffing for my cheese & falling for my trap. I lunged at the pony so I could capture it. But the pony kicked me with its hoofs and smashed through the wall. It grabbed the cheese in its mouth & neighed. Charles appeared. "Better luck next time"

Or so I thought… I felt less drowsy, yes, but somehow the faeries started to feel more and more real! Did the mayonnaise really made me feel sick, or did my boyfriend gave me something else?
Suddenly one of the faeries started talking to me and I started to feel

light. Like I was floating above the ground. Not floating, flying! Everyone was larger and I kept hearing a high tinkling sound. Then it hit me like a scoop of macaroni salad: that wasn’t mayonnaise. It was

tzatziki! Someone spiked my gyro! But who? The blonde who seated me? She seemed kinda shifty, blue eyes darting. Or maybe my waiter? He wasn't too enthusiastic when he yelled "Opah!" as my saganaki went up in flames. Or maybe it was the bartender? Did he slip a Mickey in my ouzo?

I scanned the establishment taking in every action of every patron in it. Until everything began to seemingly move in slow motion. I grabbed my hat and my coat and fumbled my way to the door. I need to lie down! I found my way to the grass just as blackness closed in on me.

I heard a rough voice. “Wake up!” I struggled towards consciousness. No one was there. “Huh?” I tried to speak. The voice came again. “Look in your pocket.” I pulled out my buzzing phone. “Now you see the control I have over you—don’t forget it! It’s time to do things my way.”

immediately had a reaction—I was deathly allergic to mayonnaise! Suddenly I felt dizzy, scaled beasts and nude faeries circled above. “Help,” I whimpered. My magic
boyfriend grabbed my pills and patted them into my Minotaur mouth. I whinnied and all was fine for a moment.

“Caroline, I .. I-“ I shuddered. Caroline giggled and embraced me. “This is the sweetest thing I have ever heard! I want to hear them all,” she shouted clicking through the playlist. It was in that moment, as we laughed and listened, that I felt closer to her than anyone before.

We listened all night, laughing, talking, our eyes occasionally welling up. How had we spent so many years not knowing each other. Was it too late? We were both advancing in years, as one could tell from the soundtrack. Then suddenly, without thinking twice, I kissed her.

I found myself sitting across from an undead CPA. “I don’t like the look of this,” she said, scanning my 401k. We each moaned. “Reckon you’ll be working another 20 years. Have any skills?” My jaw dropped. The CPA facepalmed and her nose fell off. Guess living’s the easy part.

I was first the kid in Little River, Maine to fall down an open mine shaft.

I fell for what seemed like hours, tumbling to the bottom, pitch black all around me. The good news? I had my trusty flashlight with fresh batteries. The bad news? I wasn’t sure there was a way out of this mess.

Is the Name of this Game. It was free, so I downloaded it and gave it a shot. My phone made a series of whistles and popping sounds, then the screen cycled through primary colors. “Let’s begin” whispered a voice behind me.

… A hoarse and guttural voice that sounded in a way, child like. I turned my head but no one was there.
Suddenly, a notification from the app appeared on the screen.

my phone made a buzzing sound, then went dark. I put it in my pocket with sweaty hands and paced down the street, shoulders hunched. I heard the voice again. “Stop following me!” I screamed. Just then I felt my phone getting hot in my pocket. It burned as I fumbled to find it.

I grabbed and threw it down. As it hit the floor it spun around, grew larger and grew a face. “Think you can get rid of me that easily?” The phone said with a grin. “What?” I fumbled. “Are you the voice that’s been talking me to me?”

The accident wasn't Meredith's fault but it was just easier for everyone to blame her.

After all, Meredith constantly had conflicts with Rose, and her fatal and tragic accident was very close to the place where they had their last discussion, in front of all of us.

Was it an accident? Or was it murder? I tossed and turned all night, replaying my interactions with Meredith and Rose. Suddenly, I remembered

a crucial fact. Rose was allergic to watermelon! So why would she be in a melon field in the first place? Very suspicious indeed.

It was possible that these were a different kind of melon to the one that made her skin itch and her throat close, but Rose doubted it. With her luck they were definitely watermelons, so she'd need to be very careful.

She took a small nibble. Whatever it was, it was pretty tasty. Another nibble. Like a refreshing splash of water, light with a sweet flavor. She paused and instinctively grabbed her phone, going straight to the contact with a watermelon emoji for the name. “Me again,” she said.
