Lodai Laundry

There are so many beautiful and subtle things about this planet that make it unlike earth, but the most striking has to be the red snow. It never diminishes in vibrancy, despite the fact that winter can drag on up to a year. It’s also the reason I am as wealthy as I am.

‘RedRemover’ the laundry soap I developed is the solution to those unsightly red spacesuit stains. And has made me the wealthiest and most powerful member of my space commune. Life in space is challenging for many reasons, but laundry isn’t one of them. Food is another story.

I missed the food on Earth. But I could never go back. No one could.

Not after what had happened, the effects of that still linger on. Everything is/was contaminated, basically destroyed everything. Skip to the end and we are here on Lodai 7.

We had more time than anticipated on Lodai. Plenty of time to discuss the events that brought us here. Uncomfortable as it was, we discussed in detail the redremover and how it affected Earth, and the resulting contamination. Nobody, though, could bear to talk about the red snow.

So that part was left out of the history books, and no one ever acknowledged it. When coma patients awoke and questioned it, they were quickly accused of being delusional, and were placed back into a medically induced coma. And so the world continued.
