We were at war, waiting in the trenches for some kind of miracle. The explosions were deafening and you could feel the bullets passing just a few centimeters from your head. I started to pray, grabbed my rifle tightly and ran.

The centimeters turned into millimeters. The millimeters into micrometers. Then suddenly into inches?

It was getting closer, but I couldn’t determine its intent. In a world with wizards, knights, and dragon slayers, people needed to be on their toes more than usual. After all, you never know when someone with power decides that they don’t care about your best interests.
