Yes I fondly reminisce of the times we shared. It is not often I find a genuine soul who cares for me and recognizes I too have a soul. It was an enthralling melding of two people which I rarely if ever experience. I miss that person and wish to see them once more.

Alas, it is impossible. That perfect friend, my soul sibling? I forgot their name. I also forgot where they were from, or how we even met. Our time together was brief, and I fear I rarely let them say much.

But the one important lesson that my soul sibling taught me is that we should not look for our best friend outside but rather inside ourselves. That changed my life completely

So, I figured if I have one inside me, so does the next guy. I’ve never been one to collect souls before, but a job is a job. Best friend, soul slave. What’s the difference?

The difference, it turned out, was love. Once I stole that soul, they had no love for me or anything. They turned into a husk, as passionless as lichen. It broke my heart. I tried to return their soul, but bodies have a no return policy. Now I've got a spare soul & no friend.

She’d never seen or heard of this drink before, but the moment she saw it, she had to try it. It had thin slices of banana, espresso, foamed milk, a mix of spices. The rim of the glass was coated with thick crystals of raw sugar. It was glorious!

Quickly removing the shoe from her left foot, she quickly poured this glorious drink into it. She then ordered a tall glass of chocolate milk and, now removing her right shoe, she poured the milk into that one. “Wonderful!” She proclaimed.

With a crazed smile she held both shoes in either hand and carefully touched her lips to the opening of each and tipped both liquid filled shoes to mix an atrocious brew of chocolate milk and licorice wine. She shook her head making a nasty froth. The bartender was dumbfounded.

The bartender coughed to grab her attention."Ma'am, I'm gonna have to ask you to leave you're disturbing my customers and frankly you're disturbing me as well."
She replied,"Oh get a grip can't you just let a girl have a drink."

“…But mam, you’ve been spiking the other customers drinks, you can’t just-“ As her eyes begin to close she realized that on accident she had drugged her drink too, and as her eyelids drooped shut, everyone watched, but she never woke again.

The director said “CUT” and I sighed. I was in an entirely green room in Secaucus, NJ. Not only was I hosting a virtual travel show, half the locations we “visited” were completely fictional. I felt sorry for any viewers who tried to visit these locations.

"Now," the director said, "this next scene is going to be at a Scottish lake called Loch Lock. You're going to peer out over the dark waves...Tommy, turn on the fan to get a breeze in their hair...And...Action!" But I just couldn't gaze into that green screen anymore. I mumbled,

“Wazzibbidy wazibbidy doo!” And was instantly transported home, back to my fluffy oversized couch with my book about Scottish travel. Well, I thought, I guess I checked that box! I shelved the book and opened another.
