The orchard was still smoldering when Captain Elias stepped between the rows, his soot-streaked helmet catching the first light of dawn.

He removed a thick, ashy glove to catch a falling amber between his callous fingertips. Rubbing the sooty remnants together, he brought the blackened dust to his lips: it was exactly as he had suspected. He had discerned the perpetrator; what he could not imagine was the motive.

He spat the ash onto the scorched grass. It had a certain acerbic taste that came only from the manufactured flames of a fire golem. And every fire golem had a master. And in this region, there was only ONE man he knew of who was capable of controlling one of those monstrosities.

"Well, that's great," he whispered to himself, squinting through the dark clouds billowing across the horizon. "Seems like we're gearing up for another fight." He glanced over at the girl beside him, wearing a similar look of anticipatory worry.

They both drew their swords as enemy morphed into an enormous stormy monster. The 2 heroes yelled, "Death by a Thousand Cuts!" They both sliced the air in rapid fire 1000x, sending shockwaves through the beast, defeating it once and for all. They hugged as they declared victory.

Run. Don't look back; you need to move. RUN.

The voice echoed inside his head, spurring his feet into motion. Smoke clogged his throat, burning his lungs and eyes until his vision was blurred. But still he kept going. 
Couldn't stop.

He pushed through, his eyes watering and his throat raw from the smoke. He heard a bell ringing and then walked into a counter. “Can I help you, mister?”, a clear voice rang through. “Tell me where I am!”, he croaked. “You’re in Abe’s, of course! Finest Cuban Cigars sale!”

They thrust him down onto a high end leather chair, pushed a lit cigar into his mouth. A lively rumba ensemble popped up out of nowhere and danced sang and played in a circle around him. His head was spinning and his throat burned even worse. “AHHHGHH WAKE ME UP!!!” he coughed.

"NEVER!" they shouted. "You'll never escape this nightmare!" The man sitting in the chair almost gave up when a karate woman came and beat everyone up, saving him. "Thank goodness! Now I can escape the dream!" he said. "What dream?" she responded. "This is real life." *THE END*

fang punched the thick glass hoping to escape the abandoned warehouse. he looked around for a key...anything that might help him to break the window. "I'm going to go insane slowly" he thought thinking

unwillingly about what had happened last time someone went into this place. "Ghosts ATE'im!" Lacy had said, "No bones or nothin' left!" So, like an idiot, Fang just HAD to check it out. What he had found was worse. Much worse. 
A scraping sound behind him made his blood run cold.

The scraping noise only grew louder as Fang slowly turned, a shiver creeping up his spine. It was so dark he could barely see, his breath pluming in front of him in the cold. And then he saw it.

At first, Fang couldn't determine what because it was shrouded in darkness, but when he checked his guide he realised that he had encountered the mighty Pooplicker... one of the most dangerous of all. Fang retreated to the bathroom in the blink of an eye and peered in the toilet.

He saw a beautiful face staring back at him. It was love at first sight! He was dumbfounded and transfixed. The still water and diffused light had turned the toilet into a perfect mirror.

Clare glanced up. "I'm- hardworking and determined," she blurted, not having come up with anything from her previous... engagements. The man blinked before scribbling something down on a paper. "Alright then. I'm glad to hear it."

the man thought that the woman would be able to fill would be the position of the receptionist at the BKA firm. However, there was no telling of how long she would last there not with respect to job per say but life. A chill ran down his spine as he thought of the position.

This woman will be toast in such an operation!, he thought. A receptionist of BROKEN KING APOSTOLIC must be steely indeed to avoid being mincemeated. But perhaps Sheniqua was up to it. Opening the door, he sat at her interview with a charming grin. *Please don’t die this time.*

The interviewer looked surprised and concerned. They dialed their phone and said “Yes, please send an ambulance. I think this person is having a stroke.”

Barbie Holmes was ready to investigate her first crime scene. She exited her pink police car, the door shutting with a satisfying thud. Being a detective was not easy, but it paid well. She approached the porch of 122 Carrot Circle, keeping an eye out for anything out of place.

Her lieutenant had always given her an earful about her pink car. "Perps can spot you a mile away, you need to be conspicuous. Sneak up on them." But damn that Lieutenant Vatznick. She liked her style!

Detective Hopper was thanking her lucky stars for her feminine habits today of all days. That misogynistic pig wouldn’t see his destruction coming as it sauntered towards him in 6 inch heels and wet look lip gloss.

He glanced up at her in disgust, which only made her smile. His doom was unto himself. She was very proud of her shoes, as they placed her just above his height.
"Good evening, sir. I've hope you've had a - pleasant time."

He chuckled then started to answer. She held up a hand 2 inches from his face and said “I don’t actually care. Hush.” When he started to stand, she put both hands atop his head and pushed downwards steadily. He got progressively flatter and wider, until he became a rug.

Jerry glanced down at the photograph in his hand, then back up again at the woman sitting alone at the back of the cafe.

"Well, I'll be," Jerry muttered to himself, before starting towards the table. He only hesitated a moment before approaching.
"Excuse me, you wouldn't happen to be Susan Lanai, would you?"

All at once a blinding light coursed through the space. Jerry and the woman froze. And then a creature appeared, seemingly from the air itself.

"Yes. Yes, I am," the woman said, eyes wide, as the creature approached. 
"It's too late now," Jerry said, grimly, hands tightening around his concealed blade, which tingled with warm magic. He flashed her a quick smile.
"Nice to meet you," he said, before lunging.
