This Isn’t the End

Just when she thought the book had ended, she found another chapter under her kitchen floor.

She opened the book without hesitation. As she continued to dwell on the story, she realized she was dwelling on something different. Something rough was on the back. She tore the memo and saw two glowing words. 'Think Twice'

“All right” she said, tapping the spine of the book twice on her forehead. Then she turned the book over, then spun it 180 degrees. She opened it. A normal book would have the past upside down, but she was looking at the first page of a different book.

It said "the book of songs -how to control living things through music". The first chapter elaborated on how cows were drawn to trumpets and saxophones.

Slamming the book shut I decided to debunk this nonsense. Without hesitation I soon found myself in a nearby pasture with a bugle to my lips loudly rasping a shaky rendition of Seek And Destroy. A lonely cow ignorantly chewing its cud stared at me, a red flicker in its eyes.
