Intense, blinding, coherent white light charged out of the fresh aperture in her body armour immediately heating the confined space, a trillion photon solid laser shaft instantly directed at her assailant. They didn't stand a chance, evaporating in a nanosecond with a sonic boom.

There was a sharp sulfur smell in the air afterwards and a pile of ashes on the floor. “Oh no”, she said, “not again.” Her armor was making a high whine as it discharged extra heat and powered down to standby mode. “They weren’t a threat at all”, she said into her throat mic.

“Because it was a promise instead.” She hissed, smiling evilly as her armor continues to get stained from the ashes.

The sword, a solid laser shaft of a blade, gripped tightly in the hands of the now new Queen. Lula stared down her sister, narrowing her eyes. This battle for the crown has went on for long enough. Lula had won fair and square but her sister's words made her pause.
