We decided to go to McDonald's and when we got there...

we were surprised to find the place packed. A crowd was visible through the windows that overflowed out the doors into the parking lot. "What do you think is going on?" I asked Carol.

"Beats me," I shrugged. But my curiosity got the best of me and I pushed and shoved my way to the nearest window, cupped my hands against the glass, and peered in.
My first thought at seeing the bronze-skinned alien holding his Quarter Pounder above the crowd was, "April Fool's!"

But as it would turn out, this was no joke, for the alien with the burger had not resolved into a human wearing a costume. As it would turn out, aliens have no concept of April Fools, nor fast food. As I watched through the restaurant window the alien held up the burger and

shoved the entire plate it was on in its mouth. He spit up just the burger. “It’s missing pickles!”

The entire staff groaned as their boss began shouting orders left and right. “AND DON’T FORGET THE PICKLES THIS TIME!” he bellowed. Would the customer ever be satisfied? Would the staff ever get to take their hard earned break? Find out next time on Dragon Ball Z!!!

“My height, brown hair, heavy eye makeup but it was eleven A.M.? Seriously! It was Piper Rockell.” Hayley wasn’t buying it. Our lives had changed over the past 10 years since Piper was a YouTube star. Kids today would laugh if they heard “YouTube” like we laughed about mom’s CDs.

And now, Piper was back. I had to get Hayley to understand that this changed everything. If we continued with our plan, knowing what I now knew, it would surely end in disaster.

Fortunately, I had a better plan in mind. We wrote a letter to Elon Musk and asked for his help to become the first girl singing/dancing troupe to perform on Mars. He agreed!

who had eaten Nadia’s husband just one year ago. She recalled Dardan had taken her to the rocky shore looking for pumpkins along the sand. Nadia bundled them into the wagon as he brought armfuls. The Yonghi-Bonghy-Bo appeared from the woods and dragged Dardan into the darkness.

Nadia never cried about Dardan's kidnapping by the Yonghi-Bonghy-Bo of that forest. She had only married him so she could use the couple's discount at an amazing Afghan restaurant near her home. Dardan had been a good person, though; he was kind to her despite her indifference.

Then one day she got a letter from Dardan. The Yonghi-Bonghy-Bo had accepted him as one of their own, and he had fallen in love with one of their widowed women. Divorce papers would be coming shortly under separate cover.

Freedom. Sweet freedom at long last. All of the pretending fell away from her like dried leaves on a stiff wind. She sank to her knees and wept with joy.

Jerry glanced down at the photograph in his hand, then back up again at the woman sitting alone at the back of the cafe.

She had aged and her hair was longer, but something about the curve of her face made him certain that he had, at long last, found her.

All at once a blinding light coursed through the space. Jerry and the woman froze. And then a creature appeared, seemingly from the air itself.

He was too late. He cried out as the beast pulled her from the cafe chair, sending coffee flying and nearby patrons into screaming flight. Another flash and he was alone.
