Carter ran up and down the grocery store aisles frantically. "Come on, come on, where is it?" He muttered under his breath.

In the fruit aisle he screeched to a halt. Tajin was on a shelf between the pineapples and the mangoes. The magical citrus chili salt was his at last. He laughed and exclaimed “fruit spice!” as he grabbed the largest bottle available.

As he reached for it his hand collided with another's. "Um, if you don't mind, I really need this, restocking my restaurants kitchen, and this is the last big bottle, so..." He stared at her. He had never seen a more beautiful creature in his entire life...

She smiled a seductive smile. “Ohh sir…” she purred, “surely if you let me have this spice than…some spice will come back your way no?” His brain froze from the suggesting look on her face, her slightly parting lips.

Well, Reader, I suppose I could describe the steamy scene initiated by that question. I could go into detail about skin on skin, heat & sweat, moans & sighs & whispered words that culminated in ecstatic cries that shook the windows & woke the neighbors, but I'm out of room. Nuts.

Once upon a time, two siblings were exploring the forests and found something mysterious...

It was excessively furry, and had large, scaly wings, with shiny, jet black talons, and voluminous, ebony eyes...

It growled at Sam, who grabbed his spear and threatened the beast, jabbing it with the tip as a warning.

“Back! BACK!” he shouted, his moves growing increasingly confident in warding off the threat. Finally, with a powerful lunge, his actions paid off. With a howl, the beast lumbered off, leaving him exhausted but relieved. Kneeling, he sucked in a breath.

But a breath it wasn't. What is was was a well-aimed 1" iron ball-bearing. It lodged, horribly, in his trachea with an unceremonious thunk , a breath-ending life-ending plug half way down his throat. Leaping up he attempted a solo-Heimlich but it was no use. An icy hand took him.

Sure - having a guinea pig as a helper to a detective wasn’t always applicable, but hey, at least Jaden could count on his furry friend to squeeze into tight spaces or steal loose French fries when he needed them to.

But sometimes it could be a particular sort of trouble, too. Such as now, when the guinea pig was chomping away on his client's wig.

The little nugget of fur had added insult to injury and there was now a collection of guinea pig poop nestled into the wig. He considered turning the critter into a wig later as he strode over and pretending to lose his balance he grabbed the animal and

planted a big smooch on top of their furry little head. “Awwwwww I can never stay mad you, my little squirting squishy squiddly lump loaf! My little fur dumpling! My favorite pain in the pah-TOOH-tay!” Then he took a selfie and posted it for maximum floof engagement.

Jerry glanced down at the photograph in his hand, then back up again at the woman sitting alone at the back of the cafe.

He stood up apprehensively, slowly making his way over to her table and clearing his throat loudly.

All at once a blinding light coursed through the space. Jerry and the woman froze. And then a creature appeared, seemingly from the air itself.

"You must come with me, and your dreams will be fulfilled." The creature said, grabbing both of them by their shoulders and carrying them off into the unknown.
