Night Owls

Jerry glanced down at the photograph in his hand, then back up again at the woman sitting alone at the back of the cafe.

He takes a deep breathe and walks up to the women and says “Bridgette Monique?” “Yes,” she replies confused. The man holds up a picture “Do you recognize the man in this picture?”

All at once a blinding light coursed through the space. Jerry and the woman froze. And then a creature appeared, seemingly from the air itself.

“You called?” Jerry remained frozen. “Yes I did,” said the women. “Jerry I’m sorry but I invited this creature here from deep space to destroy all of humanity. Everything was futile.” Jerry cried in defeat.
