Knives cut dull

“We just wanted to fix things,” I plead with them to believe me. “We wanted it to stop.” A tear slid down my cheek.

But they paid me no mind, shunting me into the regular security line. TSA PreCheck felt 20 miles away, moving with a brisk brio far down the hallway. I knew I had to do something with the knife after all.

I shouldn't have accepted money to sneak a knife into an airport. I got nervous at the metal detector, dropped the knife, and kicked it away with my shoe, then made it past without any issues. And as for the money… well, they never said I had to get it past airport TSA, did they?
