Night Owls

Jerry glanced down at the photograph in his hand, then back up again at the woman sitting alone at the back of the cafe.

Jerry found that the woman in the photograph was far more attractive than the woman sitting at the back of the cafe.

All at once a blinding light coursed through the space. Jerry and the woman froze. And then a creature appeared, seemingly from the air itself.

“What are you doing with that photograph of my wife?!” The creature demanded. Looking at the woman alongside Jerry, the hideous being quickly understood; Jerry was comparing all Earth women against the beauty in the photograph, hoping to find one who could match her loveliness.
