Night Owls

Jerry glanced down at the photograph in his hand, then back up again at the woman sitting alone at the back of the cafe.

He had just painted the photo, and the woman in the cafe looked exactly like her… how? Jerry’s heart raced with anticipation as he considered the impossible.

All at once a blinding light coursed through the space. Jerry and the woman froze. And then a creature appeared, seemingly from the air itself.

That was when Jerry’s eyes widened with fear and he realized that if the woman in the photo came to life, than the creature would too, and that was the last time the woman and Jerry were ever seen.
