Night Owls

Jerry glanced down at the photograph in his hand, then back up again at the woman sitting alone at the back of the cafe.

It was her, the woman he'd been looking for all these years. His true love. His soul mate. His equal. Although he had never spoken to her, he just knew.

All at once a blinding light coursed through the space. Jerry and the woman froze. And then a creature appeared, seemingly from the air itself.

This being was ethereal and seemed to be made up of light. A light being! Unbeknownst to them, Jerry and the Woman thought in unison - "These are beings from a higher place". They looked at one another and said in perfect synchronicity "...
