Night Owls

Jerry glanced down at the photograph in his hand, then back up again at the woman sitting alone at the back of the cafe.

They were definitely not the same person, he sighed and focused his attention back to his coffee, shaking his head at his naivety.

All at once a blinding light coursed through the space. Jerry and the woman froze. And then a creature appeared, seemingly from the air itself.

The creature stared at the ice bound duo. Satisfied with the outcome. "This will be an excellent addition to my collection" it thought.
