“So tell me again? How is it that out of EVERYONE ON EARTH, that we get out of eternal slavery?” Said the boy. “They’re a people of law, and according to law our deed is worded in a specific way that gives us amnesty from the alien invaders.” Said the father.

The boys mother stayed silent. She knew what her husband was dancing around. She knew amnesty comes at a high price. She swallowed away the lump in her throat as she realized their children would soon find out that her father was alive and well.

She had been left by him to raise her kids alone, and in an attempt to move on, she convinced them that their father was dead. Now, she's considering seeking out the man she had erased from their lives. But was it worth it if it would only strain her relationship with her kids?
