  • I looked around the shed at what the previous owner had left behind: a hoe, the reel for a hose, some stakes, chicken wire... ah, just what I need! Gardening shears! I picked up the tool and tested the blades, then headed towards the overgrown hedges at the front of my new yard.

  • I took a good long look at the hedges and wondered if I should try my hand at the noble art of topiary. Even if I failed at creating something beautiful, it would at least be easier to pick out which house was mine when coming home each day. All the houses looked so similar,

  • I had nightmares about walking into the wrong house and not even noticing. The whole neighborhood had an eerie sameness, as if two giant mirrors had been set up facing each other at either end of the block and the row of houses went on and on into infinity without variation, ever

  • My mirror theory seemed quite interesting in my eyes. The other day I saw a bird flying down the street and suddenly stop before the end. Whether something was there was out of my knowledge, but it did seem quite a weird event. Especially since the rest of the flock went past.

  • There’s nothing surprising about a pigeon stopping on the street. But a pigeon flying in mid-air without any forward movement…. I didn’t look too closely. I passed it off as some ability pigeons have to hover like hummingbirds. What could’ve blocked it? The mirror theory seemed
