Battle of the Beans Final Chapter: Pork & Beans

Ginger and Tyler rocketed down the sidewalk, zigzagging through the few pedestrians crazy enough to be walking around in the middle of the craziest race of the year. Both girls had one, single thing on their mind: This year, that prize is MINE.

Ginger was wearing top of the line running shoes, obviously. Tyler, less obviously, was wearing shoes with springs on the soles and wingsuit. Ginger was making better time on the pavement, but Tyler was sure to become airborne at any moment.

Ginger was incredible! Racing the rooftops with the POWER OF CAFFEINE BEBE! She slammed into a pigeon and slid down a window slowly. Tyler FLEW past in a wingsuit, soaring with the pigeons and sharing espresso shots with them. They became obsessed with him.

Tyler made a home in the old bell tower in city hall. The pigeons flocked to him, cooed at him, nibbled the crumbs from his tunafish sandwiches. It was the most family Tyler had ever had. Unbeknownst to them, in the spire at St. Luke's, Nicolette was assembling her cadre of owls.

Nicolette's cadre of owls flew towards the old bell tower where Tyler lived, ready to go to war with the pigeons. Tyler was aghast. "My pigeons...my only family...please don't go to war..." he sobbed as his pigeons simply yelled "Caw-caw to battle for the beans!" The war began.

Porky polished his revolver threateningly. 'Oy—stop right there kiddos. We don't want to escalate this, do we?' Because of the minimal presence of law here, and how so secluded this place was since armageddon, this was normal intervention. 'Let's rethink this...' Porky continued.

Ginger and Ty hold each other’s hand. After all they’ve been through, was it really going to end like this? Suddenly, pigeons swoop down and attack Porky. He drops the gun and oinks away scared. Ginger looks lovingly at Tyler, “I’ve bean missing these moments together,” and kiss.
