There was an usual scent in the air, sweet, with a hint of spice. It stopped her in her tracks. She had been lost in thought, the day had been difficult and her present task, running a
another weird errand for her boss, an unpleasant one. She looked to identify the smell.

She closed her eyes for a moment and let her sense of smell direct her, turning her head toward the source. When she opened her eyes, she saw a man sitting on a bench across the way smoking a pipe. He was stating directly at her, an amused look on his face. He stood and gestured

She sat down next to the man, breathing in the sweet smell of his pipe. “What’s your plan,” she asked. “And how do I figure into it?”

He puffed from his pipe a few more times before he answered her. “My plan to is to get it all back,” he balanced the pipe between his lips and turned to face her, “and you’re the key to it everything.”

“Baltic, Park Place, St. James Place, all the railroads, water works, maybe I’ll even own the jail! I’ll trade you the Scotty dog and the race car for them.”, he explained. “What do you say?”

“Never!!” “I will never give you my dog or my car I will drive freely into the unknown and reach for a better tomorrow. Down this path I realized that I dont need you. I am free!” The he took his keys and his dog, turn on the car and drives away....
