The night I set fire to Mr. Wallace’s barn, there was no moon at all…

I was hoping to bring out the Zombie who had been chasing me. Then I could lure it into the deep hole I had dug to catch it.

There was a grocery store between me and the hole. The store was crawling with zombies, having fed on the survivors who had unwisely camped there. Hidden behind debris, I held my Molotov cocktail, waiting. When one zombie emerged, I threw the cocktail as hard as I could.

The zombie dodged and began running at me. I belly bounced the zombie into the hole. I began twerking and dancing. The zombie bites my butt. I begin to make out with the zombie. A few years later, we get married. We have kids together.

It was happy for a few years, but the cracks started showing after a decade of marriage. Firstly, brains for every meal gets old quick. Next, a zombie can’t do much in the way of paying work. We were broke. Then the kids kept getting in trouble for biting other schoolchildren.

It was a private beach. He unlaced his shoes, peeled of his socks, and took it all in.

In front of him lay what remained of the small plane he had chartered. The only thing he could think about was how to get back to them. No one else knew anything about them.

He rummaged through the plane’s wreckage, trying to search for anything that might be of use to him. There was a flashlight, which he grabbed, only for him to realize it was covered in a sticky blue substance.

As he looked up he realized the goo was dripping from a centralized spot. The temperature had dropped to the point he could see his breath. An eery feeling ran up the back of his neck. Goosebumps ran up his arms. Air like breath blew in his ear. When he turned to look he saw….

...eyes and rows upon rows of teeth, from the ugliest beast he has ever seen. Never taking his eyes off Ugly, the sword is in place, at the same time Ugly lurched forward to kill, instead it howls and falls on the blade, his open mouth inches from his face, still dripping goo.

Jerry glanced down at the photograph in his hand, then back up again at the woman sitting alone at the back of the cafe.

Could it really be her? My long lost Aunt? Should I say hello? I don’t know what to do, very confusing!

All at once a blinding light coursed through the space. Jerry and the woman froze. And then a creature appeared, seemingly from the air itself.

It seemed to want to direct Jerry on what to do. It beckoned to him, but he froze where he sat and his mind went blank.
