Jerry fearfully stumbled backwards, searching for answers in the woman’s face. “This is the path you chose, Jerry, there’s no turning back.” The woman and creature say in unison. Understanding his fate, Jerry reluctantly takes the woman’s hand.

Holding hands Jerry, the woman and the creature step on the stage and walk over to the microphone. They recite the poem, first in unity then in a sort of canon. The audience erupts in tears and heartbreak and reaching the third verse soldiers with machine guns start pouring in.

Jerry is running for his life. He sees what behind him, and he does not like the machine guns. The woman and creature run with him. The woman is crying since performing had been her dream, and she never wanted to have to stop singing. The stage explodes as they run out.

Ears ringing, it takes him a while to realise what has just happened. The relief he felt at still clutching the singer’s hand fades as he understands it is no longer attached to her body. He knows now he has taken the wrong path.

"Would you like a cure?" whispered a voice. It was a witch. "You will become a monster though." "I'm fine with that!" he cried. She nodded & transferred his humanity to the singer, saving her life but making him a monster. Even so, the singer & the monster lived happily together.

“They have saved a seat for you, Jerry,” the creature rasped. The woman took two steps toward the monstrosity and reached her hand out to Jerry.

The world was harsh. The land was harsh. Fire all around me and car crashes. I wished there was a better life somewhere. Maybe below? Maybe up? For now, I must find out how to live in this place. Maybe it could be in the subway, below. Or the tower up.

Up, down, left, right. Searching for escape. Smoke burns lungs. Apocalyptic hell. Try to scale tower, but zombie vultures peck at my head. Bunker in the subway and fiery plague rats try to cuddle me. I meditated eyes closed, as another car crashes into flame. Sudden epiphany!!!!

Maybe mortality was never the key. Maybe this wasn't something to escape, just like The extinguished dinosaurs, and mammoths we're next in line. And all thanks to a self destruction. Should we not reap what we sow.

It’s been nearly a century now that humanity has known what we are doing to ourselves. Apparently we’re fine destroying our habitat. Some even embrace it. Those of us in this room disagree, however, and we are taking steps to ensure the human race survives somehow.

Together, we have used all our remaining tech to get in contact with aliens from other worlds for advice. Shockingly, many other races from other worlds experienced similar things, and pitied us. Collating their advice and generous tech donations, we saved the entire world! ~Fin~

It was a normal day. Me, Rose, was just walking back to school. The wind bowed fast and I was about to be late. I was halfway there when I heard loud screams. These screams were very loud and started to make me worry. I then saw a fire, and people fighting with knifes.

Oh. It's just the drama club again. 
I watched as one kid stabbed another with a wooden dagger and rolled my eyes at the phony scream the "victim" gave as he flopped to the floor. But what was with that fire? No one else seemed to notice it, and it was way to real to be a prop.

Black smoked filled the room as the flames slowly crept toward the victim, now lifeless on the floor. The murderer covered his face and silently disappeared into the smoke as the flame took center stage in full brilliance and encircled the victim.

Just when the situation looked completely hopeless, a loud rushing was heard. A giant wave crashed in, quenching the fire. The victim floated on the rising tide, face up towards the sun. The waves were alive with jumping fish.

The victim sighed a breath of relief, mixed with a sense of surprise. Where did this wave come from? As the water receded he heard a loud boom. "Your prayers have been answered, young one." The god Poseidon descended before the victim and shook his hand. "Come, Olympus awaits."

Brady was a lady who was very, very shady. Brady had a baby and the baby's name was Sadie. Sadie was a little-- okay, maybe very, very, crazy.

She dressed the neighbor’s dog in glitter and lace, then taught it to dance on rooftops during thunderstorms.

But one night during a particularly rough thunder-storm, a loud bang could be heard. She looked up through the rain and saw

I saw a thunder strike, but this was different. It was huge and left a huge mark. What was this? could it be, it?

I started to run but the lightning followed me. I ran to my neighbor's cellar hatch and pulled with all my might. It didn't budge. I panicked, the rain mixing with my tears. This was the end. Then, suddenly, I woke up in my bed to the gentle sounds of raindrops on my windowsill.
