Somewhere Out There

The initial first tests of the planet are beginning. Contact has been made with Excalibur. They are expected to join Orion in orbit within the next 24 to 36 hours. I’d just received the results of the planetary analysis, and have transmitted our findings back to Earth

The results are strange. The planet is inhospitable to life as we know it, yet their airwaves are filled with communication transmissions in every frequency. Either our readings are wrong, or there is life unlike anything we know down there.

May 12, 20XX We finally did it! We're sending a mission to Unknown Planet X to check out the transmissions. But the government gave some tricky conditions. Including this weird one that we must build the research center in a top-secret place they decided to call Area 51..

May 30, 20XX And now we made it to Unknown Planet X! Thanks to our jump drive we were able to make it in less than half a month of our homeworld days. We will seek out the transmissions over the next few hours and find our way to Area 51, where we must set up our research center.

Is not easy finding the way to Area 51. I found a map: Area 48, 49, 50...wait 52?! What the hell is happening? Where is Area 51, we need to start our research but the area is nowhere to be found. Time is running out and the Aliens are waiting. I think our last hope is

Dr. Edward Moodle, podiatrist and renowned alien expert. His theory, that Area 51 is actually Area 15 (a long forgotten typo) proved correct. It was there that the research was completed. Earth would survive another day.
